The 20th Anniversary of Comrie’s twinning with Carleton Place in Canada will be celebrated this week/weekend. Four Canadian visitors including the Mayor of Carleton Place will arrive in the village tomorrow.
A programme of entertainment has been put together for our visitors:
Thursday 16th Aug – Our visitors arrive early evening
Friday 17th Aug – Our visitors will head to the The Famous Grouse, Crieff to enjoy a distillery tour and lunch. They will then head to Perth for a Civic Reception hosted by PKC Provost Elizabeth Grant at 3pm.
Your are cordially invited to come along to the Comrie Hotel in the evening to say Hello to our guests.
Saturday 18th Aug – A trip to Killin and the Crannog Centre.
A formal acknowledgment of the anniversary will be held on the Ross Bridge at 3.30pm
We would like you all to come along and join in.
Sunday 19th Aug – Our visitors will enjoy a day at Crieff Highland Games
Monday 20th Aug – Our visitors leave to go home
