A message from PKC:
I have been asked to arrange Estate Based Initiative ‘Walkabouts’ for various areas, including Comrie. I apologise for the short notice, however I am pleased to invite you to a planned ‘walkabout’, meeting at Strowan Road, taking in Queens Road, Glebe Road, Glebe Square & Glebe Lane. The walkabout is planned for 28th August from 13.00 until 15.00.
Attendees will include Housing officers, and local community workers but most importantly tenants. We shall use a map to denote areas that can be supported under the Estate Based Initiative approach.
As you may be aware, the Initiatives are based on improving Council Housing Revenue land and aimed at Council tenants making decisions on what can be done to cover three aims:
Any proposed project must be on communal ground/property owned by the Housing Revenue Account and contribute to at least one of the following:
· Community Safety or
· Improve the appearance of the area or
· Increase tenant involvement in their community
I wonder if you would be kind enough to advertise the walkabout through your usual channels, and we shall be advertising the event through press releases and publicity such as the texting service. I am happy to support any council tenants who wish to have further information, travel support, or cannot make it to the walkabout but wish to contribute to the decision for EBI proposals in Comrie.
Many thanks for your time and efforts.
Best regards, Judy
