Comrie Flambeaux – Hogmanay Event

Flambeaux

The Flambeaux celebrations of 2020 and 2021 had to be cancelled due to Government covid restrictions. However, in both years four secret flambeaux were paraded around the deserted streets of the village on Hogmanay to maintain the continuity of our centuries old tradition. So, we are happy to announce the resumption of this year’s full Flambeaux parade. As a result of unavoidable expense and limited fund raising over the last two years we incurred a financial deficit, so it is important that this year we make an effort to raise the funds necessary to continue this important and unique village tradition. We hope to raise a minimum of £4000 through the Just Giving web site, the resumption of door to door collections by the Committee, and donation buckets in the Post Office and Handy Shop.

Please help us to fund Comrie’s Flambeaux.
