Following a break over the last couple months I’m now resuming normal services. My blog explains more. Feel free to forward this to friends.
The next event will be a Nordic walk on Friday, 30 November, St Andrew’s Day. This should be possible whatever the weather.
This will start in Comrie and follow the Water of Ruchill and take us to Cultybraggan Camp. The camp has a fascinating history(from prisoner of war camp to community ownership). We are lucky to be joined by a local historian who will share some of the history of the camp with us during our visit there. We will take time to have homemade soup and oatcakes before returning to Comrie by a different route. The walk is suitable for Nordic walking( though one section along the river is quite narrow).
Start is at 10:30 AM and return by 1:30 PM. The cost is £18 including home-made soup & oatcakes, and a loan of nordic walking poles.
Tuition in Nordic walking is possible by arrangement before the walk for those who have not been before or those who want a refresh.
There will also be a high-level walk on Friday, 7 December. This will be up to Kenneth Cairn to the north of Loch Turret, near Crieff. This is also suitable for Nordic walking apart from one section near the start. In the event of snow conditions making this walk unsuitable, an alternative walk that is stretching will be offered. Start is at 10 AM and finish by 2 PM soup and oatcakes will be included. The cost is £22 and includes home-made soup & oatcakes and pole hire.
Booking in advance is essential for all events.
In the New Year I will be offering a 10 week course around walking off weight which will include a hypnotherapy session. More details of this coming soon.
