CAR PARK CLOSED

THE COMMUNITY COUNCIL, AS DEPARTING TENANTS OF THE SQUARE, ARE REQUIRED TO FULLY VACATE THE SITE TO HELP FACILITATE THE LEGAL PURCHASE OF THE PROPERTY BY THE PROSPECTIVE NEW OWNERS COMRIE PARISH CHURCH. TO THAT END WE REQUIRE TO EMPTY THE PARKING AREA OF ALL VEHICLES AND CLOSE OFF THE PARKING AREA. THE TEMPORARY PLANNING PERMISSION WE RECEIVED FOR PARKING HAS NOW LAPSED.

THE NEW OWNERS WILL CLARIFY THEIR INTENTIONS IN DUE COURSE FOLLOWING SUCCESSFUL CONCLUSION OF ALL LEGAL MATTERS RELATED TO THE PURCHASE.

MEANWHILE THE COMMUNITY COUNCIL AND FRIENDS OF BUMBLEBEE SQUARE WOULD LIKE TO THANK EVERYONE WHO HAS HELPED KEEP THE VISION OF THIS WONDERFUL CIVIC SPACE ALIVE OVER PAST YEARS. WE ARE DELIGHTED THAT COMRIE PARISH CHURCH AND THEIR VERY MAGNANIMOUS BENEFACTOR HAVE TAKEN THE BOLD & HEARTFELT INITIATIVE TO SECURE THE SQUARE FOR THE VILLAGE IN PERPETUITY. WE THANK WILLIAM FRAME OF BRAEMORE ESTATES (THE SELLER) FOR SUPPORTING BUMBLEBEE SQUARE OVER THE YEARS AND FOR THE PIVOTAL ROLE HE PLAYED IN THIS NEW INITIATIVE.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO THE SQUARE BEING REBORN AS ST KESSOG’S SQUARE AND REALISE THIS WILL TAKE TIME TO BE FULLY REALISED (eg PLANNING CONSENTS WILL BE REQUIRED). WE UNDERSTAND THAT THE SEATING AREA WILL REMAIN OPEN AS IT IS FOR THE TIME BEING
