So to everybody who helped ,’Thank you ‘ for helping Comrie win these awards.
Wednesday 11th September sees us at the Take a Pride in Perthshire awards.
‘The first thing to catch your eye in Comrie are the stunning hanging baskets filled with begonia which are saved and stored for the next season. Throughout the village there are containers and beds brimming over with colour. There is variety of planting in the many beds and containers. The four themed beds at Mid Square have a well-chosen range of shrubs, perennials, annuals, herbs and vegetable. Cultybraggan, the group’s base, housed the polytunnel to grow the summer planting, vegetable and herbs assisted by young adults with additional needs. The allotments and fruit tree area are well maintained and productive. Comrie Primary School has a variety of growing areas and is a role model for other schools.’
Now we just have to wait till Wednesday for the Take a Pride in Perthshire Awards.
