Comrie loses one of it’s own – Johnnie Carmichael
As many of you will know sadly Comrie lost one of it’s great characters last week when Johnnie Carmichael sadly passed away. We send all our best and supportive thoughts to the family at this sad time.
Here is the announcement from the Courier with details of the funeral arrangements:
Suddenly, but peacefully, at Ninewells Hospital, Dundee, on Friday, February 26, 2016, John Alexander (Johnnie), aged 76 years, of Comrie, Perthshire, life partner and loving husband of Joan (Robertson), much loved father of Andrea and Barclay, cherished grandad to Lianne, Catriona and Callum and great-grandad to Phoebe, respected father-in- law, grandfather-in-law, brother to Drew, brother- in-law and much loved uncle to the family (former director of S. Carmichael & Sons, Comrie), musician and loyal supporter of the Tartan Army, a great friend to many.
He will be sadly missed by all. Funeral service, to which all friends are respectfully invited, at Comrie Parish Church, Burrell Street, Comrie on Monday, March 7, at 2 p.m., wearing of tartan would be most welcome, thereafter to Perth Crematorium for a service of committal at 4 p.m.

Donations, in lieu, may be given at the church and Crematorium, if so desired, in favour of Ward 32 at Ninewells Hospital and Alzheimer Scotland.
