For those who like traditional music, the fabulous Fred Morrison is playing in Comrie on Thursday 22nd November.
He’s a piper, but not just any piper. He plays big pipes, small pipes, border pipes, uillean pipes and whistles and he will be performing with another virtuoso musician Matheu Watson.
He’s extraordinary and is truly a piping legend and before you groan and say ‘not pipes’, have a wee listen to him here:  It’ll be a night of stormin’ music and great craic.
Tickets are on sale in the village – in the Post Office, the CDT Office and Hansen’s Kitchen.  There are only 80 tickets and already almost half have been sold before even trying,  so that’ll give you an idea of how popular Fred is.
It’s on Thursday 22nd November, in the WRI Hall, Nurses Lane in Comrie.  8pm.  Tickets £10.  There is no bar so please bring your own.  The concert will be opened by young local piping prodigy Connor Sinclair.
On a personal note I saw Fred play recently at the Gordon Duncan Experience in Perth. He was amazing he had the pipes almost talking !  Don’t miss the opportunity to see this guy !
