It has been brought to the attention of CCC that there is unease from some residents in the village regarding the Government Guidelines during this lockdown and the desirability of leaving one’s house.

The Guidelines are issued several times a day through Social Media requesting everyone to stay safe and stay at home. This does NOT mean that you are confined to your home 24 hours a day seven days a week. Regardless of your age and if you are fit and healthy, you can go out each day for up to an hour to exercise, this includes either walking, cycling, running or taking your dog round the block and shopping for necessities. Providing you stick to the rules of Social Distancing of 2 metres, there should be no problem regarding this, and you should feel confident and relaxed about going out into the fresh air and enjoying the lovely sunshine.

If you are elderly and feel you are not happy regarding going out and about our Helpline is still open and you can call us on 01764 679555 anytime for a chat.

Not everyone is on Social Media so if you know of someone who would benefit from this reassurance please let them know.

Thank you.
