Comrie Youth Theatre

CYT are putting on a production of two short plays on MONDAY 11th MAY 2009. The Junior section will be performing first with a play called Us and Them by David Crompton and the Senior section are then putting on an abridged version of A Midsummer Nights Dream. It should be a fantastic night and a real showcase for the young talent of Comrie Youth Theatre.

Performance starts at 7.30pm with doors opening at 7.15pm

Tickets are priced at £4.00 for adults and £2.00 for senior citizens and under 16s.

Tickets are available from the Deli or Post Office in Comrie or you can pay at the door on the night.

As this is the main fund raiser for the club there will also be a raffle and all donations for the raffle would be very gratefully received. These can be handed in at the CDT office, opposite the White Church, during office hours or on Monday 11th at the White Church from 6pm.

We hope you are able to come along and enjoy the show with us.

DANCE LEADER TRAINING

Liz Conacher is trying to identify any groups of young people in P&K interested in taking part in dance activity, with a view to applying for funding for a dance tutor to deliver dance workshops across Perth and Kinross, possibly leading to young people applying to take a Dance Leader Award. In order to apply for the funding evidence of demand s needed.

The Dance Leader Award is a 39 hour course which qualifies a young person (16 – 24 years) to lead dance workshops under the supervision of a qualified teacher or youth worker. Applicants do not have to be skilled or experienced in dance but must have an enthusiasm for physical activity & interest in becoming a leader within their own community.

If you know of any groups (or individuals) who would be interested in dance workshops and / or the dance leader award please let me know asap. (Boys or girls!)
