Comrie Energy Competition
As part of Comrie's Carbon Challenge, Comrie Development Trust are inviting households to take part in a Home Energy Competition.
The Carbon Challenge is looking for 30 households to participate in the competition which asks householders to monitor their electricity usage and keep within a daily target (to be set after a week of monitoring), using a Current Cost Monitor, over a period of two months.
Energy Awareness Advisors will monitor three groups of ten households and encourage them to reduce their electricity consumption. Data will be collected from the Current Cost Monitor on four separate occasions and analysed in the office to determine which household is reducing their consumption the most. All data is strictly confidential and prizes will be given to the three households that have reduced their electricity consumption the most - in terms of a % reduction. The project is being funded through the Climate Challenge Fund.
Your chance to win and save money!
1. Sign up at the CDT office or with your Energy Awareness Advisors today!
2. Keep your Current Cost Monitor switched on for nine weeks
3. Tick off on a wall chart which appliances you have used that day
4. Allow your Energy Awareness Advisor (EAA) access to the Current Cost Monitor on just four occasions to download data *
