Dear Friend.

Chris’s Gigs has lined up another great evening’s music for you in Comrie and this is going to be a really special concert.   We are so lucky to be able to attract musicians of this calibre to our wee village.

Nuala Kennedy is a celebrated Irish singer and flute player now based in Edinburgh, and she brings hauntingly beautiful vocals, adventurous instrumentation, and an imaginative mix of influences to her music. She is on tour with her band, guitarist Mike Bryan and percussionist Donald (Drummy) Hay, and also with a very special guest,  the renowned Cape Breton fiddler, Troy MacGillivray.  This is an opportunity to hear world class musicians in the wonderfully intimate setting of the WRI Hall in Comrie.  Those of you who have been to our concerts before will know that each one is unique and fabulous and that there is something very rare and uplifting about the atmosphere generated in our lovely little hall.

The gig is on Saturday 10th May in the WRI hall, Nurses Lane, Comrie.  Tickets £12.50. Doors open 8pm.  As usual it’s a BYO gig, and don’t forget the glasses!
IMPORTANT: Tickets are available in the usual places in Comrie, in the Post Office and Hansen’s Kitchen, but for those of you who can’t get to Comrie to buy one, you can now make sure you don’t miss a gig by buying online here:

There is the possibility that Troy may run a fiddle workshop in the afternoon on Saturday 10th, similar to the one Patsy Reid ran recently.  If you are interested in booking a place, please let me know.
I hope to see you at another brilliant music event.

Best wishes

Chris Grace
