I received this message today from Greenacres Action Group
I am writing to give you an update on the status of the Strathallan wind farm application.
We have been informed that the required public consultation meetings will take place as follows:
Braco Village Hall on Monday 8th December
Comrie SWRI Hall on Wednesday 10th December
Muthill Village Hall on Friday 12th December
The consultations will take place from 3pm to 8pm on each day and will take the form of noticeboards with information and photographs. Representatives from Greencat Renewables, the company that is preparing the application, will be present to provide information and answer questions. We have learned that Greencat Renewables also has a financial stake in this project and not just preparing and lodging the application on behalf of the landowner.
These consultations are required to be advertised in the local press so you may see notices in the newspapers this week and next.
We will obviously have a presence there to speak to any attendees and hand out our information in order to gather as many objections as possible.
We have developed a website for our campaign and this can be found at
Please forward this link on to anyone that you think will be interested in supporting our campaign.
Once the application has been submitted the website will be updated with a link for online objections as well as samples of objection letters in order to make objecting to the proposal as straightforward as possible.
Thank you again for your support and we will be in touch when the application is submitted, which is expected to be January 2015.
on behalf of GEAG
