Riverside Garden Centre at Tullybannocher is now under new ownership.

Beverly and Neil have recently taken over from Jonathan and have bought a house in the village. This is a new venture for them both after a spell of several years in Sri Lanka managing a tea estate. The tea they developed was sold to the likes of Fortnum and Mason. In addition to planting tea and growing other vegetables the estate produced lemongrass, jam and coffee.

Since returning to the UK, Beverly has been advising a group of budding tea planters here in Scotland who are trying to revive some old walled gardens and has set up her own speciality tea company.

Neil worked in a garden centre many years ago and is still working closely with Jonathan who will be supplying the centre with specialist plants next year.

The garden centre is looking lovely and in addition to “Bev’s teas” the shop has some great gifts. From July the couple will be opening a new art gallery next door.
