Strathearn Ramblers News – Walks Update
Here are updates about two walks:
18th September Hill Walk – Ben Cruachan
I have received this additional information from Charlie:
Robert, David and I recce’d the walk last Wednesday. It is much as described in the Newsletter but two points worth mentioning;- Once across the railway line the path through the wood is steep and rocky in places. Approaching the summit there is no discernible path and scrambling is required to reach the trig point at the summit. The remainder of the walk is on good paths but quite boggy in places. Gaiters advisable if not wearing waterproof bottoms.
25th September Walk – Callander to Glen Artney
I managed to put two different sets of pick up times in the newsletter (in the programme and on the bus booking form). To clarify, the times will be:
9:00 at Crieff Co-op and 9:15 at Comrie School car park
As we have lots of people booked, it will be a Sweeneys bus rather the CoCo bus.
There is still time to add you name (subject to bus size) if you fill in the bus booking form and send it to Ken Heiser with your payment asap.
