Volunteer Wanted – To run a Weekly Gentle

Seated Exercise Class – Comrie

Caledonia Housing Association’s ‘Volunteer Project’ was established to support older people living in sheltered housing, throughout Perthshire, Dundee, Angus & Fife. We are currently looking for a friendly and reliable volunteer/s who would enjoy running a weekly Gentle Seated Exercise Class for our tenants at Cameron Court, Almond Place, Comrie, PH6 2BB.

We are looking for a volunteer/s who would enjoy supporting older people in a social setting, someone who is outgoing with a positive nature. No experience is needed as full training will be provided in the Revitalyz Method of seated exercise. It would suit someone who is regularly free on a Tuesday morning between 10:00am &11:00am.

The training is completed by attending a class and sitting in with a group of tenants until you feel comfortable in taking the group yourself. This usually takes 4 or 5 sessions and will take place on a Monday or Tuesday at 2pm in Perth or Scone. Travel expense can be reimbursed.  This role would equally suit either a younger person or older person, someone possibly looking for work experience or a reference, or an older person looking to fill their time, socialise and help others.

Because we are supporting a group of people classed as vulnerable there is a requirement to undergo a Disclosure Scotland check.
