DESCRIPTION:FOLLOWING GOVERNMENT CHANGES TO COVID RULES AND AFTER DISCUSSIONS WITH POLICE SCOTLAND AND PKC\, REGRETTABLY WE HAVE TO CANCEL THIS YEAR’S FLAMBEAUX CELEBRATIONS. \nHOWEVER\, THERE WILL BE A FIREWORK DISPLAY AT 7.00PM TO THE NORTH OF THE VILLAGE BEST VIEWED FROM YOUR HOME OR GARDEN. JUST LOOK TOWARDS THE MONUMENT. FOLLOWING ADVICE WE ARE DOING IT THIS WAY TO PREVENT CROWDS GATHERING IN THE CENTRE OF THE VILLAGE. WE HAVE NOW STOPPED ACCEPTING DONATIONS\, WITH MONIES RAISED TO DATE GOING TOWARDS EXPENSES ALREADY INCURRED.  \nMANY THANKS TO ALL THOSE WHO HAVE DONATED AND BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES FOR CHRISTMAS AND NEW YEAR. \n  \nTHE FLAMBEAUX COMMITTEE

DESCRIPTION:This from Hamish as chair of the Flambeaux Committee….. \nFollowing yesterday’s announcement which will see further restrictions in place over Hogmanay /New year \, the decision has been taken to cancel the Comrie Flambeaux event this year. \nThis will be the second year in succession we have had to cancel this ancient Comrie tradition and will be a big disappointment for many not least the organising committee who have already spent considerable time and effort preparing for this years event.lets hope things improve during the coming year and we can again welcome in new year in the old traditional Comrie style. \nMerry Christmas to all and a very happy\, safe and healthy New Year Comrie Flambeaux Committee
