DESCRIPTION:Personal Assistants and paid carers are invited to drop in\, have a cup of tea and a mince pie\, meet and mingle with each other and staff from Scoial Work\, SDS Unit\, Support Choices\, PKAVS and GrowBiz. \nThis event is a collaboration between Social Work and Support Choices\, with a view to connecting PAs and Carers who work under an Option 1.  When people are looking to employ PAs/carers\, its often hard to find them and the idea is to offer an event where people can come and say hi\, encourage some kind of co-ordinated approach\, and also to identify people working as PAs who might not already be on the radar.  Growbiz is coming along too in case there are people out there who would like to set up as carers but don’t know how\, and Lesley Monro will also be there from SDS unit.   \nPlease note that this event is for employed and self-employed PA’s and Carers working in the Strathearn area under Option 1 (i.e. not carers from care homes etc).

DESCRIPTION:The Flambeaux celebrations of 2020 and 2021 had to be cancelled due to Government covid restrictions. However\, in both years four secret flambeaux were paraded around the deserted streets of the village on Hogmanay to maintain the continuity of our centuries old tradition. So\, we are happy to announce the resumption of this year’s full Flambeaux parade. As a result of unavoidable expense and limited fund raising over the last two years we incurred a financial deficit\, so it is important that this year we make an effort to raise the funds necessary to continue this important and unique village tradition.
