It is also encouraging to see so many folk joining our village discussion from across the Europe.

From the thoughtful contributions on a green recovery, a fairer economy and a thriving cultural sector we have lots to reflect on. Let’s pull together to keep the positive changes we have experienced from this strange time in lockdown. I am sure you will want to extend a particular thank you to Joyce McMillan, Pat Kane, Shonaig Macpherson, Katherine Trebeck, James Robertson and Ruth Wishart for their fabulous contributions.

We will be back in August with a second series of online conversations tackling issues of importance to Scotland. Keep your suggestions on topics and speakers coming and we always welcome constructive feedback on how to improve the conversations.

We now have our own YouTube channel and you can view Sunday’s presentations from Ruth Wishart and James Robertson along with the Q & A session by entering Comrie Conversations in a YouTube search or clicking here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpffhypVTZIMjitTy5BB0dQ?fbclid=IwAR1mlEBGsIsqKiyLweO2lvEHW6fHQO4DhrX55_YAfvp-CSzz-yd3Xot77GM

James and Ruth also sent through the following links that you might find interesting to explore:

Two articles by playwright Peter Arnott:

Another article on Bella Caledonia, entitled ‘Reimagining Our Cultural Landscape as Reimagining Our Future’, by Briana Pegado”

Recordings from the first two conversations are still available on our facebook page and will be added to our YouTube channel soon.

We will be in touch in August to trail the next set of conversations. Until then, stay safe and enjoy the summer.

Kind regards
