I hope this message finds you well and remaining positive?
I have had an interesting August, busy with family and trying to figure out the best and safest way to move forward into Autumn with both Sound & Yoga.  Although the Scottish Government has now given us permission to begin teaching yoga indoors again from the beginning of September, I think that a cautious approach must still be followed with safety the number one priority for us all.  In saying that, I have below a list of Autumn offerings that I hope will appeal, allowing you to gently and safely return to your relaxation and yoga practice.  This is tempered with a little bad news,  but let’s keep that until last.
I intend to phase-in the following classes throughout September, giving the regulatory authorities time to tweek and perfect the guidelines.  Depending on interest some of these classes may change going forward.
ZOOM: MAT YOGA, CHAIR YOGA, MEDITATION & ( SOUND – to follow once my microphone is delivered! 😅)
Initially I will be offering individual zoom sessions although, depending on the interest, I may also begin offering small group sessions.
If you are interested in a zoom class, please let me know whether you would be happy with a group lesson too.
Individual session : £10 or £32 for 4
Group session : £8 or £20 for 4
Breathwalk is the science of combining specific patterns of breathing synchronised with your walking steps and enhanced with the art of directed, meditative attention. Breathwalk is simple, natural and embraces the feelings of space, openness and relaxation that being in nature gives us.
The four main benefits are:
* increased energy levels
*mood control
*refined mental quality
*feelings of connectedness
We will use the local parks and forest walks to practice. After a short warm-up, we will explore different breathing and walking techniques each week. Please let me know if you would be happy to practice in a small group or only individually.
Individual sessions: £15 or £40 for 4
Group sessions ( up to 6): £8 or £24 for 4
The following sessions will take place inside my home. I have gathered every possible piece of advice and all guidelines currently available and will be implementing them all to keep us as safe as is possible. You will be sent a detailed explanation of how things will work on booking, but if you would like this information before booking for your reassurance then please just ask.  Numbers of sessions will be limited each day as I must take time for deep cleaning in-between sessions.  These sessions are planned to start towards the end of September, unless association guidelines or insurance advice changes
I will be offering sound relaxation in my home for:
 a.  individuals,
 b. two people socially distancing (2m) or
 c. three people who are NOT socially distancing from each other ( you will still be 2M from me).
Instruments available are: Himalayan Singing Bowls, Gongs and Crystal Singing Bowls.  You can choose any combination or them all.  I also offer Dum journey and drum relaxation. This hour of sound will refresh the body and mind, allowing both anxiety and physical tightness in the muscles to drift away.
Individual sessions: £20
Group sessions( up to 3): £15 each
not suitable for under 16 or in first trimester of pregnancy
Peaceful meditations followed by a relaxing sound bath
Individual: £18 or £48 for 4 sessions
group ( up to 3): £12 or £40 for 4
Split your session between a relaxing and gentle yoga session and a deeply rejuvenating sound bath.
Individual: £18 or £48 for 4 sessions
group ( up to 3): £12 or £40 for 4
under 14 free
I will be offering adapted yoga sessions.  For now, we will be avoiding any intense breathing pranayams or exercises and we will be whispering our mantras. This still gives us plenty of choice for effective and revitalising Kriyas.
Individual sessions: £15 or £40 for 4
group sessions (up to 3): £10 or £32 for 4
under 14 free
I have done my best , under the present circumstances, to keep my fees as low as possible, but if you are interested in any of the above and not able to meet the cost right now, please contact me and we can work something out.
I will endeavour to be as flexible as possible with days and times, but will be focused on Tuesday/Wednesday and Thursday to begin with. Don’t let that put you off though, if you can’t make those days, let me know and we will arrange an alternative.
I visited Rebecca at The Yoga Shed this week and we had a long discussion on how to move forward safely. Rebecca and Ronnie have gone out of their way to make the studio as safe and hygienic as possible, while still maintaining that beautifully welcoming atmosphere we all love.
Under the present guidelines, we would be able to safely run classes with a maximum of 6 people per class.
This is where we both need your help, folks. Can you please let me know if you would be interested in returning to a class in the studio ( either mat or chair) towards the end of September/beginning of October.  There will be procedures clearly in place to allow us all to remain safe, Ronnie and Rebecca have already put so much work into this, and all consideration will be given to your comfort and reassurance.
Please, even if you feel you are not ready to come back into the studio, that would also be valuable to know.
Auchterarder Adult Education Association has decided to revisit classes in January 2021, hopefully chair yoga will be returning then in some form.
I will be contacting the volunteers I have in a separate email to discuss dates and details. If you would like to be involved in either Group Sound Therapy Case studies, 1-2-1 Sound Therapy Case Studies or both, just let me know.
Ok, bad news last. After much soul-searching and discussions with the Hotel, Jen and I have decided that we have little choice but to postpone our scheduled Yoga & Sound Retreat for October 2020.   With the guidelines we have at the present it just would not have been financially viable and neither of us would have allowed any compromise on safety.
Hopefully you noticed the postpone though. Jen is currently discussing options for venues and dates for next year, 2021. So, watch this space.

Thank you for your time and patience, I know this has been an ‘epic’ message, but there was a lot to catch-up on. Please feel free to contact me for more details on any of the above.

I wish you a happy and safe day and look forward to hearing from you,

All the very best,
