New Post for Local Area Commander
I would like to inform you all that I will be moving on from my current post with effect from Monday 27th November 2023 and will be taking up a new post as Acting Superintendent for Operations in Tayside Division.
Having started my career in Perth and Kinross, and as a resident of the area, it has been a privilege to serve as Local Area Commander and I wanted to take this opportunity to thank the community for the support provided to me in Perth and Kinross over the past two years.
This support, and engagement with our communities, is vital to the successful delivery of our Local Policing Plan, which aims to ensure that Perth and Kinross remains a safe place to live, work and visit.
We are currently recruiting for a new Local Area Commander and an announcement of the new appointment will be made at the earliest opportunity. In the interim, Inspector Steve Gray will be looking after the local policing area.
While I am moving on, my new role means that I will have oversight of Community and Response Policing Teams across the Division so I will continue to monitor events in Perth & Kinross with interest.
Once again, thank you for your support and I wish you and your families all the best for the future.
