Our General Manager at the Hotel Rhys Turner has a secret passion – Wine!! Rhys loves exploring and discovering new varieties and as a trained Sommelier he has a real nose for it!! It’s not just the taste, he explains, ‘it’s about choosing the right grape, the right bouquet and selecting wines; especially your everyday drinking wines, that offer not only good value, but outstanding taste’. He is particularly relishing drawing up the new wine list for the Hotel.
Over the forthcoming months, Rhys will be delighted to introduce us to some of his selections as he builds his wine cellar and list. ‘I’m planning a series of informal wine tastings along with some fabulous wine tasting dinners to introduce producers and showcase our food at The Royal’.
Rhys is delighted to invite you to his first selection – ‘Wines by the Glass’ on Saturday 21st March 2020 from 2pm to 4pm – he will be showcasing and introducing his new selection of House Wines he has chosen to offer guests by the glass. So why not come a join him for a taster of our seven new wines, accompanied by a tapas selection of treats from the Royal’s Chefs.
Tickets cost £19.95 per person – and taking place on Saturday 21st it offers a fabulous option for treating Mum on Mother’s Day weekend!
