Comrie Golf Club
Business Description

Comrie Golf Club, founded in 1891, is one of the most picturesque and senic courses in the country, and the current 9 hole layout was designed by James Braid, who won the Open Championship 5 times in the early 1900s.

Situated on the Laggan Braes at the eastern end of the village, the course makes full use of the natural topography, and all the holes are of interest. There are wonderful views from the course over the village and the surrounding Perthshire hills, and it is always kept in beautiful condition. We frequently receive letters expressing thanks for the friendly welcome and congratulations on the superb upkeep of the course.

Situated just 20 minutes from Gleneagles, venue for the 2014 Ryder Cup and 2019 Solheim Cup, the course has nurtured many good players over the years, including former Curtis Cup golfer Carly Booth, who now plays on the Ladies European Tour, and her brother Wallace, a former Walker Cup and Challenge Tour professional.

Whether you are a beginner or an experienced golfer, you will find a warm welcome and Comrie will not disappoint. We offer free club hire to visitors without their own equipment; trolleys and golf buggies are available too. After your round, enjoy the excellent catering by our award winning chef Bill McGuigan.

The clubhouse is open daily from 9am to 4pm (April – September), and non golfers are welcome to use the facilities too - why not call in for a delicious cup of coffee and a bite to eat?

We look forward to seeing you.
