Elections for all Community Councils in Perth and Kinross will take place on Thursday, 6 November.
Community Council elections are held every three years. The sitting Community Council was formed through a by-election last year, following the resignation of several members.
The official announcement for the election will be made on Thursday, August 28th. Nominations will close at 4 p.m. on Thursday, September 25th.
Nomination forms can be obtained from the Perth and Kinross website after the election announcement has been made.
To be eligible to stand for election, you must be over sixteen years old and reside within the boundaries of Comrie and District.
Serving Community Councillors wishing to stand again must submit nomination forms.
Ten seats are available on the Comrie and District Community Council. At least five out of the ten seats must be filled to establish a functioning administration. If the number of nominations exceeds the available seats, a postal voting poll will be conducted. All nominees will be elected unopposed as Community Councillors if a vote is not required.
The Community Council will still function during the election period.
