Comrie Fortnight 2023, Saturday 22nd July to Saturday 5th August.
We are looking forward to welcoming everyone to the 2023 Comrie Fortnight, which gets underway on July 22. This year information on all our events will be posted on noticeboards throughout the village, and you will be able to pick up a free booklet, listing all of our exciting activities, from Comrie Cancer Shop, The Handy Shop, David Comrie & Son Butchers, Comrie Post Office and The White Church. You can also keep up to date with all our goings-on by following our Facebook page – Comrie Fortnight Association (check out our new look there)!
Heralded by Comrie Pipe Band, our two-week festival of fun and frivolity kicks off with our Opening Ceremony, which gives all of our local clubs, charities and organisations the opportunity to set out their stalls to put some funds into their coffers, so please come along and support them all.
We have old favourites, plus some new events throughout the Fortnight and, hopefully, we have provided something for everyone.
And of course, the culmination of the whole Fortnight is our fantastic Float Parade on August 5th, which is a great day out with family and friends. It begins with the parade setting off from Dalginross and finishes with an afternoon and evening of fun, laughter, music and dance in Laggan Park.
Everybody knows how much Comrie folk love to get into fancy dress at the least excuse, so if you and your family have not joined us before, here’s your chance!
We look forward to seeing you!
