As Covid restrictions drag on, we feel an update after discussions with recent passengers would be helpful.
At the onset of Covid we were contacted PKC & the NHS to accertain if our service would continue and it was agreed that with the introduction of a triage system and revised procedures to protect our drivers and passengers, it would continue.
Many treatments and regular app’s were cancelled during Covid allowing us to concentrate on more urgent cases.
Our service as you know is to provide transport to NHS hospitals for the Comrie residents with no public or private alternatives.
This service has continued during Covid with referrals coming from both the Medical Centre and the NHS.
It is a non profit making service, however there is a charge for mileage.
Unfortunately we can’t cover dental, optical or private appointments.
Contrary to rumours we are are still in operation, we would however kindly ask for 48 hours notice. We have monthly co-ordinators whose contact details are publicised at the PO and the Medical Centre.
However , if you have and questions then please contact Neill or Morag Aitken on 670420.
Volunteers are also desperately needed, if this is something you feel you could help with ,then please call the above number.
Thank you.
