Perth and Kinross Council has published the following information about the forthcoming maintenance work on the B827:
Perth and Kinross Council plan to undertake carriageway resurfacing works on the B827 Comrie to Braco road between Greeenacres and Strathallan Wind Farm southeast access. This is programmed to commence on Monday, 24 July 2025, for approximately 4 weeks. Unfortunately, due to the available road widths, a road closure is required to undertake part of the works for safety and efficiency. To ensure these works do not clash with upcoming works planned on the A85 from 17 August, and to minimise the disruption, the road works will be phased as follows:
Phase 1 – 24 July – 7 August
Preparation works carried out under temporary traffic signals. This may include patching on other sections of the B827 should the preparation works be completed earlier than programmed.
Phase 2 – 8 August – 15 August
Road closure and diversion signs will be erected due to the nature of the works as well as the available road space. The closure may remain in place outside working hours to protect the site as well as the road users. However, if the site is safe and it’s suitable to re-open on occasions, then we will do so under temporary traffic signals out of working hours or over the weekend.
Please see the attached location plan 3817571_01 detailing the works extents and diversion route.
Emergency service vehicles’ access will be maintained throughout the works.
Please note that all affected residents and businesses will be notified through the usual channels before the works taking place. We have also had preliminary discussions with the local businesses regarding the closure to ensure they have time to prepare.
The road closure works are subject to approval from BEAR to place diversion signs on their network.
