A revised planning application has been submitted for a logging track to allow timber harvesting from Auchingarrich Forest.
This could see up to six loads of timber being transported down the Glascorrie Road, along Strowan Road, into the village at South Crieff Road and out of the village along Braco Road. Haulage will be restricted to between 06:30 and 20:00 on weekdays with only occasional weekend working.
Phase 1 timber harvesting is planned to be undertaken in one tranche between April/May 2023to October/November 2023. Phases 2 to 4 will then occur as single operations approximately every five years, unless windblow becomes an intervening factor.

The original planning application was approved without any local consultation. The Community Council have requested consultation on the revised proposal.
