Perth & Kinross Council’s Waste Services Team has just launched a Food Waste Survey to gather feedback from householders across Perth and Kinross regarding their food waste reduction and food waste recycling behaviours.  The Survey will be live for 4 weeks until Monday 14th February and the results will influence a series of mini-projects which will be delivered in early 2022 to assist householders in reducing the amount of avoidable food waste that they generate and will also encourage and inspire them to recycle their unavoidable food waste.

The Food Waste Survey is primarily available online via https://foodwasteequalsclimatechange.commonplace.is/ – and via the soon-to-go-live webpage, www.pkc.gov.uk/FoodWasteEqualsClimateChange, but householders are also invited to contact the Waste Services Team for a paper copy by telephoning the Customer Service Centre on 01738 476476 before Friday 4th February.

A social media campaign is underway to raise awareness of the Survey and a Press Release is due to be issued shortly, which will also be circulated to local Community Newsletters.

We would welcome your assistance in raising awareness of the Survey – perhaps by ‘liking’ and sharing the post on www.facebook.com/pkcwasteservices or mentioning the Survey when in conversation with the local community?

If you have any queries, please do not hesitate to contact Yvonne Bell, Waste Minimisation Officer at yvonnebell@pkc.gov.uk
