Description: An easy, almost level walk following the perimeter of Backwater Reservoir on well made tracks, paths, and a minor road . Starting on the Western side of the water, we take a road to skirt Hill of Bellaty and Creag Feamhar, then walk through fields and trees on tracks and paths. After crossing the Hole burn, we join a quiet single track road on the east side of the water to return to our starting point.
Sections of the route can be wet and muddy so wear appropriate footwear.

Description: This is a walk which we have not done in a long time. Starting at St Fillans we take the road behind the bus stop to the east passing Jerusalem and into Glen Tarken. Half way up the glen we take a path to the left which leads passed Creag Dhubh towards Glen Beich. As the path peters out we walk across some rough ground crossing the Beich Burn then picking up a path further down the glen which takes us to the old St Fillans Lochearnhead railway line. We take this path back to St Fillans.

Description: Walk from Dalchonzie Power Station through Aberuchill to Tomanour and along the track south of Ben Halton round to the old Quarry and up to the top of Ben Halton. Then descend behind the hill down by the burn and back to Dalchonzie Power Station. The terrain consists of some heather and animal tracks but also good tracks

Description: An enchanting stroll through lovely woodland surrounding Blair Castle. The walk is on good tracks with a very short section on road. There are many red squirrels and other wildlife within this area.
25th September Walk Little Glenshee Circular
Distance: 9 miles
Start & Finish: Meeting at 10.00 at the Little Glenshee car park, just south of the ford. The road leading to the Little Glenshee car park is on the left of the B8063 just after Chapelhill, it is approximately 3 miles up this road.

Description: After leaving the parking area via the wooden footbridge over the river we follow a path past Loch Tullybelton with a chance to see ducks and swans. Heading up the hill we turn right towards an obelisk on Craig Gibbon which gives excellent views over the countryside. Retracing our steps we return to the circular route with good open views over moorland as we are walking at height. Eventually, the route will descend and re-join our outward route back to the parking area.

Description: Very pleasant easy walking through woods and open countryside with plenty of opportunities to take photographs. A good stroll not to be missed.

Description: The route is roughly round the Loch from the Dam with an extension to the Killiecrankie Visitor Centre and an option to return via the Pitlochry Golf Course all subject to a recce.

20th November. Callendar and Falls of Leny. Stroll.
Distance 5 miles
Leave: Crieff Coop 10.00, Comrie School car park 10.15
Description: The Falls of Leny provide an impressive target on this straightforward walk from Callander. Starting from the town centre the route follows the combined cycle-walkway along the old railway line following the river upstream and then returns through oak woodland before rejoining the cycle track.

Booking procedures
Visitors are always very welcome to join walks / strolls but will be asked to take cognisance of government Covid 19 guidelines.
The only means to join a walk or stroll is initially to book in advance by contacting Irwin Keith on 01764 652541 giving your name and mobile number for contact purposes. Once you have the leaders contact details please let them know if you have changed your mind.
A token charge of £1 per visitor will be requested as a donation towards the group insurance cover.
No one turning up on the day without pre-booking will be allowed to join.
Please note. The main walk / stroll leaders for each event will decide whether it will take place on the date shown in the programme or on another nearby day if the weather forecast is better.
They will communicate this to all Ramblers who have previously indicated an interest in participating, usually 3-4 days ahead.
Safety measures
As Covid is still an issue please ensure your own safety and that of others in this regard.
Travel. Those wishing to car share should make their own arrangements with the drivers. However the Ramblers committee do not officially encourage this.
