This from Duncan McNab, the Son of the late Pat McNab who was a gentleman and a well kent Comrie Character

There will no doubt be those in Comrie who will remember my father, Pat MacNab. He retired from Glen Artney down to Lochay Drive and spent many happy years in the village.

He first crossed over the bridge in Comrie in 1916 at the age of 4, on his way to a new life in Glen Artney having left the Isle of Eigg where he was born. In 1928, as a 15 year old teenager, he was sent to Glen Lochay to help out with the lambing at Moirlanich, now a National Trust for Scotland property.

The story of that adventure and the song that was written about it can now be read on my blog page. https://www.duncanmcnab.scot/the-story-of-the-spring-o-twenty-eight/
